American English
When I lived and worked in the USA back in 1999/2000 I didn't acquire an accent but I did pick up some words which I still use today (and get ribbed about constantly!). So after I saw this quiz on Cat's livejournal I though I'd see what kind of American English I speak, and the answer is:Your Linguistic Profile: |
45% General American English |
40% Yankee |
10% Dixie |
5% Upper Midwestern |
0% Midwestern |
So there you go, feel free to take the test for yourself and let me know if you are more American than I!
ps. I promise to update soon on what I've been up to since getting back from my trip...just been busy!

What about English English?
My results were the same as Jess. As I am living here full time at the moment, I will take the test again in about 12 months and see if I get different results!!
I started to do it but there were two many questions that I wanted to respond 'none of the above' to so I abandoned it. I think that probably is quite telling in itself though.
